Dr. Ninad Katdare has completed his surgical oncology training from the famed Tata Memorial Hospital. In his 3 years of training there, he has independently done more than 300 surgeries and assisted many more surgeries for various cancers like Head and Neck Cancers, Breast Cancers, Thoracic Cancers, Gastrointestinal Cancers, Urogynec Cancers and Reconstruction surgery in Oncology.
After his training at Tata Memorial Hospital as a Surgical Oncologist, Dr. Katdare has been trained extensively in Europe. He has completed his Masters in Advanced Oncology from Universitaet Ulm, Germany. This is one of its kind course in the world which covers research, clinical management, and integration of complementary, alternative and conventional medicine in the management of advanced cancer patients.
He then completed his D.U – a one year Masters in Surgical Endoscopy from the Universite de Strasbourg, France. This is a master’s programme which trains the surgeon in use of endoscopy, laparoscopy and robotic surgery in oncology.
He has also done a Fellowship in Gynaecologic Oncology from Le Centre Oscar Lambret, Lille, France; an ESGO certified centre of excellence in Gynaecologic Oncology. He is one of the few surgeons trained in India for Fertility Preservation Surgery in Gynaecologic Cancers. He is the first surgeon to use the “ Anderson Algorithm” for treatment of Ovarian cancers which results in vastly improved survival rates.
He has done a Fellowship in Abdominopelvic Oncology from the European Institute of Oncology,Milan, Italy. There, he has been trained amongst others gastrointestinal surgeries in Multivisceral resections for Sarcomas, Management of Gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GISTs), Management of Neuro-endocrine tumours, Management of Advanced Colorectal cancers with Liver Metastases and Sphincter Preservation surgeries in Rectal cancers. He has also done a Fellowship in Peritoneal Oncology from CHU Lyon, France. He is one of the few doctors in India to do not only HIPEC surgery but also other forms of peritoneal cancer treatments like EPIC: Early Post-operative Intra-peritoneal Chemotherapy and NIPS: Neoadjuvant Intra Peritoneal Surgery and Chemotherapy.
He is one of the first surgeons in India to be trained for PIPAC : Pressurised Intra Peritoneal Aerosolised Chemotherapy. He is also the pioneer of PIPAC in India”.
