Having been instrumental in starting the MIOT Institute for Disorders of the hip, he was the first director who pioneered programs in hip reconstructive surgery and launched protocols. He is one of the few surgeons who is skilled in providing treatment for any age group, be it a child or a geriatric patient- so that, reconstruction of hip is not limited to replacement but includes preservation and restoration. He has a strong background in Complex Trauma care which has resulted in super specialisation in Pelvic and Acetabular Reconstructive Surgery.
